The cruise starts in Split (well-served by budget flights from Bristol and London) and visits some of the best islands and attractions on the Croatian coast, including Brac Island, Korcula  Island, Dubrovnik, Mljet Island and Makarska. 4 afternoons of tennis are included, making the trip a balance between an active holiday and sheer relaxation.

The perfect holiday for lovers of the Mediterranean, tennis, cruises, cocktails and great company, whilst also being suitable for partners and friends who are not tennis players.
As an overview the price includes:
- 7 nights accommodation on board
- Half-board meals (breakfast and lunch, apart from breakfast and dinner in Dubrovnik)
- Captain's Dinner at Mljet Island
- 1 litre of water every day
- 4 afternoons of tennis in Brac, Dubrovnik, Makarska, Split
- Transfers to tennis courts, tennis balls
- Onboard English and Croatian-speaking, tennis-playing guide
Day 1

Split to Brac Island

Your guide will meet you at Split airport and we will all board the airport shuttle bus to Split port, where our boat awaits. After welcome speeches and introduction to your friendly crew, we have lunch and depart!

The first destination is Bol, a gorgeous town on the south of Brac Island, for our first tennis session. Bol's tennis club is famous for hosting the WTA tour Bol Open (previous winners include former world no.2 and Wimbledon runner-up Vera Zvonareva). The courts are right next to the sea, so why not get refreshed with a dip right after a coupe of hours on the clay?

It's an easy, pleasing stroll from the courts to the boat, where we can get changed and take our pick of restaurants and cocktail bars in Bol's magical old town!

Day 2

Brac Island to Korcula

After breakfast, our boat will have a swim stop at a bay chosen by our knowledgeable Captain. Time for swimming costumes, snorkels and inflatables!

After lunch we will dock in Korcula, said to be the birthplace of Marco Polo (don't argue with the locals about this!). This stunning Venetian town deserves a good explore, so we have free time to do this at our leisure.

In the evening, we have the option to go for wine-tasting and/or a meal in a Korculan "slow-food", organic restaurant. Or just wander and do as you please!

Overnight Korcula.

Day 3

Korcula to Dubrovnik

We leave Korcula in the morning and head for the Elaphite Isles, choosing one of these islands for our swim stop and lunch.

We then dock in the afternoon in Dubrovnik - the jewel of the Adriatic. This city is truly a gem, which is why we have 2 nights here! After docking, we will be transferred to our next tennis club in nearby Lapad Bay for another clay court session.

Transfer is also included back to the boat to get showered and changed before taking a local bus from the port to the famous old city. We recommend having a beer or cocktail at one of the cliff-top bars on the edge of the old walls - the ideal way to savour the sunset.

The evening is then free for everyone to seek out restaurants, explore the cobbled streets and revel in the atmosphere of this historical town.

Overnight Dubrovnik.

Day 4

Dubrovnik - FREE DAY

After breakfast, everyone is free to enjoy Dubrovnik as they wish.

We recommend: (1) Doing the awesome buggy safari (300 kuna) - you are taken to Mount Srd to get a bird's eye view of the Old City and Elaphite Isles before driving an off-road buggy around the mountain. Unmissable!

(2)Taking a cable car ride up to Mount Srd for the most incredible view imaginable (note: buggy trip takes you past same cable car station for same view at no exra cost!).

(3) Doing a "Discover Dubrovnik" walking tour that covers the history of Dubrovnik and some of its architectural gems at the same time? Lasts an hour and costs 90 kuna.

(4) Take a shuttle boat over to the enigmatic Lokrum Island from the Old City.

There is no lunch today - you have dinner instead! Dinner is served onboard at 6.30pm and then the evening is yours again to enjoy in the Old City. One more overnight on the boat in Dubrovnik.

Day 5

Dubrovnik to Mljet Island

Our boat leaves early for the crossing to Mljet Island. After lunch, we will dock in either Pomena or Polace and have the rest of the afternoon free to explore this island's stunning National Park and its lakes - the peaceful antidote to Dubrovnik's hustle-and-bustle!

There are several options for this exploration: hire a bike for a few hours and pedal your way around the lakes' cycle paths, hire a kayak for paddle-power or simply go walking. We also offer an onboard BBQ this evening as the setting is perfect. Overnight Mljet.

Optional excursions: Entrance to Mljet National Park (approx 100 kunas), bike or kayak hire (from 40-120 kunas), Captain's BBQ (approx 100 to 150 kunas, depending on inclusions).

Day 6

Mljet Island to Makarska

After a couple of days off, we are back to tennis!

Having had a swim stop or two, we dock into Makarska for a real treat. Makarska's tennis centre is directly on the beach and after our tennis session we have the option of swimming on the local beach, then having a shower at the centre and enjoying a BBQ (if desired, but not included - around 110-130 kuna) on the club's terrace, washed down with a few beverages!

The boat is an easy walk back along the promenade, which is lined with restaurants and bars. Overnight Makarska.

Day 7

Makarska to Split

This morning is dedicated to our final chance to have a swim at a beach or 2 between Makarska and Split.
After lunch we will leave the boat near Split and be transferred to Stobrec, a village close to the city. This village has a tennis club, which although it does not have as spectacular a setting as the other centres on the cruise, is perfect for a round-robin Prosecco tournament!

We will have a scoreboard in the middle of the courts and tally up everyone's total number of games per 20-min session. The winner gets a small trophy and a bottle of Prosecco!

Transfer back to Split to enjoy the last evening together on the boat and in Split's spectacular Diocletian's Palace. Overnight Split

Day 8

Split - disembarkation

After breakfast, we have to check out by 9am and say farewell to our crew and shipmates.

While many people will be flying home that day, it doesn't have to be the end of the adventure, as we recommend staying in Croatia longer to explore further afield to other amazing destinations nearby, including Plitvice Lakes, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Hvar Island!

Q: What flights should we book?
A: Most of the people booking this tour will be travelling from Bristol so we strongly recommend booking the Saturday 2nd June EASYJET flight that goes from Bristol Airport to Split. This is the flight that the Guide will be meeting at Split Arrivals. You can then take the return flight the following Saturday, or choose to stay longer in Croatia if you wish. Please let us know if you plan to take any flights from other airports (such as the London ones).
Q: What time will the boat depart from Split on day 1 (Saturday)?
A: The boat will depart at around 12pm (noon).
Q: Is the cruise fully guided?
A: Yes, you will have a Croatian/English-speaking tour leader to take you to the tennis centres and provide information about each destination and Croatia in general. By law, he/she can orientate you around every destination, but is not allowed to give you an in-depth guided walk around Dubrovnik or Split Old Towns, but there is also the option of a paid-for walking tour of the old city in Dubrovnik.
Q: I am a solo traveller, can I pay a single supplement?
A: Yes, you can pay single supplement - it is 50% of the cruise cost. You must also book your single cabin in advance.
Q: What food is included?
A: Breakfasts and lunches are included every day, apart from breakfast and dinner in Dubrovnik (Tuesday). There is also a Captain's dinner or BBQ on Mljet Island.
Q: What if I am vegetarian or have other special dietary requirements, how can you help me?
A: You should tell us about your special dietary requirements before the cruise starts and we can ensure that the meals are more suited to your requirements.
Q: What surface are the tennis courts?
A: They are all clay courts.
Q: How are the tennis sessions organised?
A: We will be organising the first three tennis sessions in the round-robin formats used in the David Lloyd clubs in Long Ashton and Westbury. These round robins suit players at an intermediate level. However, if any players are at a particularly high or low level and would feel more comfortable playing in private doubles or singles, then this can be arranged. The fourth and final session will be a fun tournament, also in a round robin format.
Q: My partner or friend(s) want to come on the trip but they don't play tennis. Can they come?
A: Yes, they can - they are very welcome! This type of cruise is mainly sold as a cruise-only trip in Croatia anyway. There is so much to see and do when the others are playing tennis that it is the perfect trip for a tennis player + his/her partner or friends. The price would be £100 GBP less for non-tennis players.
Q: Do I have to have any insurance?
A: We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance before you go, as with any holiday.
Q: Are there towels provided?
A: You will be provided with bathroom towels at the start of the cruise but we recommend bringing your own beach towels.
