Go Sail Turkey
Departure date: 4-day & 7-day gulet cruises departing twice a week from Apr to Oct 2019
Please visit our dedicated Go Sail Turkey website
We offer 4-day one-way cruises from Fethiye to Olympos (or Olympos to Fethiye) and 7-day cruises that start and finish in Fethiye.
A gulet is a traditionally-built, wooden Turkish motor-yacht which usually has between 6 to 8 ensuite cabins (each sleeping 2 people) onboard. We strongly feel that they are the ONLY way to see the Turkish coast – imagine waking every morning for breakfast and a swim in idyllic bays and cruising along the coast to a new destination each day. The decks are perfect for sunbathing and jumping into the sea, the food is excellent and there is a tender boat included to shuttle you to and from all the sites such as the stunning Oludeniz beach, the charming fishing village of Kas and several ancient ruins.
Of course, it’s not all about relaxing and sightseeing. There is an onboard bar and opportunities to experience the nightlife and party at some of the destinations. Sounds like the perfect trip? You bet it is, and with prices starting at £189 GBP per person for a 4-day cruise with full-board (breakfast, lunch and dinner included), it is incredible value!
Below is our 4-day Fethiye to Olympos cruise. For the one-way in the other direction or for the 7-day return cruise, please visit our Go Sail Turkey website.
Day 1

Fethiye to St Nicholas Island

We board our gulet at 11am for welcome speeches and an introduction to Captain and crew, depart Fethiye harbour around 11.00am and cruise to Butterfly Valley for swimming, lunch and an optional hike up to the waterfall. Butterfly Valley is famous for being the home of over 130 different types of butterflies but they only appear in large numbers at certain times of the year so let’s hope we get lucky!

Afterwards, we head over to Oludinez, Europe’s most photographed beach and one of the best sites in the world to paraglide! In the evening, we anchor at St. Nicholas Island in time for a short hike up through the island's ruins to witness the amazing sunset.

Optional excursion to book locally: Paragliding
Day 2

St Nicholas Island to Kas

Today we are off to Kalkan (Aquarium Bay) for breakfast in a breathtaking spot for swimming and snorkelling in crystal-clear water. We then cruise to Kas, a fishing village with a charming little harbour where we enjoy lunch on the boat before disembarking to explore the local boutique shops, which specialise in handmade jewellery and clothes. We spend the night in one of the secluded bays between Kas and Kekova.

Optional excursion to book locally: Scuba diving
Day 3

Kas to Gokkaya Bay

After breakfast we sail to Kekova. First on today’s list is the fascinating Sunken City, a 2000 year-old ancient town which was destroyed by an earthquake. We actually cruise over this protected World Heritage site before crossing to Simena Castle where we climb to the top to take in the magnificent view over the bay.

Our overnight stop is in Gokkaya Bay, which also means party time! We can head over to the Smuggler’s Inn to meet up with other travellers for a night of dancing under the stars. A free boat service picks you up and runs regularly all night. If you don’t fancy a party, simply relax and chill out on the gulet.
Day 4

Gokkaya Bay to Olympos

On our last day we enjoy a lazy start, easing any sore heads gently into the morning. After breakfast we spend some time in Pirates Cave (or another nearby bay) for snorkelling and swimming. We will dock at Cayagzi (Andriake) Harbour around 10:30-11:00am for farewells and the chance of a last-minute pic with your onboard family.

After disembarking, there are a number of options: a free bus transfer to Demre, with free time for shopping. There is then a free transfer to the tree house of your choice in Olympos. Or, if you are planning to travel onto other destinations, you can be dropped off at Demre bus station. Buses to Antalya depart every 30 minutes, buses to Kas or Fethiye depart every hour.
