8-day Split Return and shorter 4-day or 5-day Croatia Sails
Every Sat and Tue from June to September 2018

SPLIT - MAKARSKA - MLJET - DUBROVNIK - KORCULA - HVAR - SPLIT

Please our dedicated GO CROATIA SAIL website for full details of all our 8-day Split Return cruises, 4-day or 5-day Croatia Sails, and Croatia-Bosnia combination sail + tours.

Our Croatia sail tours take in the very best of the Dalmatian coast - cruising to islands such as Hvar, Korcula and Mljet, while also staying 2 nights in Dubrovnik and 1 night in Makarska.

The itinerary is designed to give you the best of both worlds: sightseeing, swimming and relaxing during the day, followed by excursion options, nights out, parties and events in the late afternoons and evenings.

With our experienced, fun crew, like-minded shipmates (aged between 18-35) and an amazing ensuite boat, you are in the right hands for the trip of a lifetime!

The full itinerary for the 8-day Split Return Cruise is below:

Day 1

Split to Makarska

Jump on board and meet your Captain, crew and shipmates! We depart Split for Makarska at 1pm and get the socialising started with lunch and a swim stop.

We get into Makarska late in the afternoon, giving you time to go around the town, grab a gelato and have dinner in one of the many restaurants, pizzerias and tavernas that line the promenade. The most popular way to spend the night is at the famous Club Deep, also known as the "Rave in a Cave". Say no more.....

Day 2

Makarska to Mljet

Our boat leaves early for the crossing to Mljet Island. After lunch, we will dock in either Pomena or Polace and have the rest of the afternoon free to explore this island's stunning National Park and its lakes - the peaceful antidote to Makarska's hedonism!

There are several options for this exploration: hire a bike for a few hours and pedal your way around the lakes' cycle paths, hire a kayak for paddle-power or simply go hiking. We also offer an onboard BBQ this evening as the setting is perfect.

Optional excursions: Entrance to Mljet National Park (approx 100 kunas), bike or kayak hire (from 40 kunas), Captain's BBQ (approx 100 to 150 kunas, depending on inclusions)

Day 3

Mljet to Dubrovnik

With some gorgeous bays around Mljet island, we are spoilt for choice for a swim stop this morning. We then cross to Dubrovnik through the Elphaite archipelago of islands - a truly amazing sight.

We arrive in Dubrovnik in the early afternoon, which gives you time for some must-dos, including a sunset walk around the famous walls and sampling a cocktail at one of the cliff bars as you watch the sun go down.

There are plenty of restaurants to choose from in and around the Old City, as well as events at clubs such as Revelin.

Day 4

Dubrovnik

We have 2 days in Dubrovnik as there is so much to do here!
We recommend: (1) Doing the awesome buggy safari - you are taken to Mount Srd to get a bird's eye view of the Old City and Elaphite Isles before driving an off-road buggy around the mountain. Unmissable!

(2)Taking a cable car ride up to Mount Srd for the most incredible view imaginable (note: buggy trip takes you past same cable car station for same view at no exra cost!).

(3) Dubrovnik is also the setting for the capital city of Westeros, Kings Landing, in Game of Thrones. If you are a fan, why not take a walking tour of the locations of the most famous scenes in the ultra-popular show and get an overview of the history of Dubrovnik at the same time?

(4)  Take a shuttle boat over to Lokrum Island from the Old City.

There is no lunch today - you have dinner instead! Dinner is served onboard at 6.30pm and then the evening is yours again to enjoy in the Old City. Overnight on the boat in Dubrovnik.

Optional excursions: Buggy Safari and/or Game of Thrones+Dubrovnik Walking Tour.

Day 5

Dubrovnik to Korcula

It's goodbye to Dubrovnik and hello to more incredible scenery as we head to Korcula Island, which is said to be the birthplace of Marco Polo. The Old City (with the same name as the island) is another gem which hosts a small street party in the evening at the Deja Vu Bar!

Optional excursion: Wine-tasting

Day 6

Korcula to Hvar Island

Hvar is rated as one of the highlights of the trip and it's not hard to see why. Its pocket harbour is a thing of beauty but you only get to truly appreciate it after climbing up to the fort that overlooks everything in the bay.
We arrive after lunch but often we are not able to dock until late afternoon until due to port restrictions. We strongly recommend taking a water taxi over to the city to get there earlier (3 Euros per person payable directly to the taxi)
Hvar's nightlife is also legendary and we recommend catching the sunset at Hula Hula bar and taking the organised shuttle boat over to Carpe Diem - the famous "club on an island".

Day 7

Hvar Island to Split

Our final, full day starts with a swim stop at one of the many Pakleni Islands near Hvar and continues with a trip over to Brac Island to cruise past the iconic beach featured in almost every promo video about Croatia: Bol's Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn) beach.
In the afternoon we dock back into Split, with enough time to take in some of the inspiring sights of this city, including Diocletian's Palace and Bacvice Beach.

Optional excursion: Split Walking Tour

Day 8

Split

After breakfast it is time to say goodbye to your shipmates and crew. Check-out is by 9am. The adventure does not need to stop here though. There is no better tour to take afterwards than the incredible Go Bosnia Tour that departs at 10am from Split. This tour visits the best of Bosnia, and finishes with a couple of days in Montenegro. Q: What time does the boat depart from Split on day 1 (Saturday)?
A: Check-in is from 11.30am to 12.30pm and we then aim for the boat to then depart around 1.00pm.
Q: What time does the trip finish?
A: The boat docks back into Split on Friday afternoon and then overnights in Split. Breakfast is then from 7.30am on the Saturday and check-out must then be completed by 9am.
Q: What are the sleeping arrangements in the cabins?
A: Most of our cabins can be suited to couples who would prefer a double, or twin beds (2 separate beds) for friends who don't wish to share a bed. Please let us know your preference in advance - we can't always match your preference but we try to as best we can according to the configuration of travellers.
Q: What about triple cabins, for 3 friends in one cabin?
A: Three friends can share one cabin - 1 person in a separate bed and 2 in a double bed. There is a 5% discount on each passenger's space for triple-sharing.
Q: What is the arrangement for solo travellers?
A: Solo travellers would have to share a cabin with another solo traveller or third person from another group. We try to match people up according to gender, but this is not always possible due to passenger configurations. There is always the option of a single supplement as well (see below).
Q: If I don't want to share my cabin, can I pay a single supplement?
A: Yes, you can pay a single supplement. Our single supplement is 50% extra. You must book your single cabin in advance.
Q: What are the bathroom arrangements?
A: Every cabin has its own ensuite bathroom as standard!
Q: What is the difference between above deck and below deck cabins?
A: Above deck is on the main deck and lower deck is in the hull of the boat. There are advantages and disadvantages to both - lower deck cabins are often cooler and more peaceful at night as you do not have other passengers walking past your cabin as much as the above deck cabins. Above deck cabins are brighter with more natural ventilation and most open out onto the sea.
Q: What food is included?
A: You will have 2 meals everyday which consists of a continental breakfast (bread, spreads, with varieties of fruit, yoghurt, sausages etc throughout the week), and 3-course lunch (soup to start, followed by meat/fish/pasta/rice dish and a dessert).
Q: What if I am vegetarian or have other special dietary requirements, how can you help me?
A: Please tell us about your special dietary requirements before your cruise starts and our onboard cook will do their best to cater for them.
Q: Can I bring my own food and drink on board?
A: You can't bring your own food on board, apart from for special dietary requirements. This also applied to drink: drinks are not allowed to be brought on board (including water) as the boat runs its own bar (on a tab system).
Q:Can I pay for my bar tab by credit card?
A: Our boats do not have card facilities onboard. All payments for your bar tab can be made only by cash locally on your last day before you check out of the boat.
Q:How many people will be on my boat?
A: Between 25 to 38 passengers, with 3 or 4 crew members.
Q:What nationalities and ages are on board?
A: Most of our guests are aged between 18 and 39, with the majority falling in the twenties and early thirties bracket. They are from English-speaking countries (UK, Ireland, Australia, NZ, South Africa, Canada, USA), EU countries (mostly Western Europe) and others such as Israel and Brazil.
Q:What if I miss, or am going to be late for the boat's departure?
A: Please let us know as soon as you can and we will advise you on where to catch up with the boat.
Q:How much spending money should I bring?
A: Personal spending money amounts obviously var from person to person but as a general rule around Euro 25 to Euro 30 per day can cover additional meals and optional entrances.
Q: Do I have to have any insurance?
A: We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance before you go.
Q: Are there any power sockets on board?
A: Our boats have power sockets in the cabins and in the salon area. They are European 2-pin sockets so don't forget your adaptors if you need them!
Q: How do I get to Split?
A: We have a whole page on our website dedicated to getting to Croatia and Split. Please click on it here: Getting to Croatia
Q: Are there towels provided on board?
A: Some bathroom towels are provided but you should definitely bring your own beach towels.
